Had the good fortune to fly fish in saltwater for the first time back on 7/24. Had a great time. Guide Tom Horbey poled me around in typically extremely skinny water the whole day. I ended up with three reds in total, the last one in the video being the best. Fished most the day with a shrimp imitation fly and some with a poppers. It's a whole different ball game with a fly rod. I had 30+ quality shots at fish, but due to nerves and lack of experience in regards to the speed with which you have to deliver the fly I missed a lot of fish I should of had. In the morning we stuck to flats around POC and then took a long run south to marshes somewhere in San Antonio Bay. Port O'Conner Trip
