Well I got to go to Lavon one more time ( I know i keep saying that every weekend lol ) but i took advantage of the day off and went out and landed over 100 big sand bass. All catch and release. But i stayed away from the schooling action for two reasons. One there were about 20 or more boats and two I wanted to see of i could still find the big ones using my electronics. I did and landed over 20 doubles and 75% big magnum fish.I did land a bunch of yellows but i didn't count them lol. I also snagged 3 catfish and caught a nice sized crappie.Any way off the lake by noon it is getting HOT out there. some pics

I fished the schools with the rest of the boat show. We saw dandies busting by glass house at 7 and tried the popper that Cary recommended. We caught a bunch but no big ones. We saw fish busting near Avalon and headed there after a bit. The fish stayed on top until about 11 before we left. We caught close to 100 but mostly 10-12 inches. Small fish but fun to catch on the popper.
I have been fishing a 1-3/4" slab that I would normally use for stripers. I still catch some small ones but not near as many. I left the deep water schoolies Saturday morning and found some in shallower water where my method of casting and letting the slab sink to the bottom attracted the bigger fish.
