Does anyone throw fluro on a spinning set up. Ive been using sufix832 braid. With a leader of fluro. Im just wondering if it would be simpler to just use straight fluro. Im using mostly senkos and flukes. Ive heard fluro doesnt act very well on spinning set ups. Any advice would be awesome

Try the Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon XL, it was designed specifically for spinning reels.

I've been using it for well over a year with great success.

I've not tried the Berkley 100% but I can tell you from using other brands it doesn't play well with spinning reels.

I use P-Line Fluroclear on my spinning rods and have had no problems, plus it is cheaper

Bush Hog, try the Berkley, I think you will like it. Just make sure you get the "100% Fluorocarbon XL".

Tight lines!

I've also had quite a bit of trouble running straight Flourocarbon on my spinning rods, which is why I switched to braid with a leader. I know when spooling up flouro, if you don't fill the spool up but maybe only fill it 3/4 the way up then it helps with line twist and line blowing off the spool. I haven't personally tried it because I just stick with a braid main line and flouro leader because it works better for me.

this is true... also try this...spool you reel(the correct way) and set it in the heat somewhere several days be for you fish, this allows the line to reset it's memory to your reel...but why would you want to get away from braid/flouro leader?

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Many moons ago when Braid came out, it was said it was made for Spinning Reels but as you see...........many folks have it on their BC reels.I don't use braid on anything myself. I have spinning reels spooled with Berkley BG, Sufix, and Ande flurocarbon and the leaders are Fluro LEADER Material.
BTW: If you have a spool of mono that's been laying around, hopefully in a cool place, that has retained some memory...try putting the spool of line in the sink with hottish water and shampoo...let it soak for a few hours then rinse well!!
