 what makes the best carolina rod?

what makes the best carolina rod? Is it a fast tip or is moderate fast the best? Is it length or does that matter? I am in the market for a better CR rod and welcome your input.

I prefer the 895C (I use a 3/4 or 1 oz. weight most of the time), but the 873 is another great choice.

804 or 764 Dobyns champion the 804 is the best crig rod I have ever used simple an awesome rod for chunking crigs out deep

Length with fast tip. Dobyns 764 works for me

I believe the OP was asking about the CHARACTERISTICS of a good C-rig rod...not the makes/models of a lot of high-end rods that the average Joe will never be able to afford. That said, I am wondering the same thing...what length, power, action, tip...then, based on that, I will have enough info to make my own choice within my price range and brand loyalty.

804 put 65 lb braid on it and just reel them in, no big hook sets, no fighting the fish. Oh, and cast it a mile. The only dobyns I have any use for.
