Anyone seen or have pics of this new Native kayak that supposed to be released this year.
Looks like a mini bass boat from what I've seen on facebook.

There are photos on the Native Watercraft Owners Group web site. Big, wide, and heavy like a Hobie Pro Angler.

Supposedly 43" wide and 5 lbs. heavier than a PA14.

It appears to have no bulkhead between the tank well and the cockpit (the "wall" behind the seat area), and the seat mounts to the floor (perhaps so it can be put out of the way; and, I should mention that the stern is flat more or less like a Propel 10. I think this might be intended for some mounting options back there.

Just guesses on my part:

1) It will attract the power users who want trolling motors. This one will need it.
2) If you use just the standard Native pedal unit, I can't imagine this thing cruising over 2 MPH.
3) If your drive breaks down and/or your trolling motor, call your wife and tell her you'll be home in a day or so! This thing won't paddle well with that configuration.
4) It'll be a limited seller never gaining wide acceptance sort of like a PA 17T.

Sort of in the same sense that I consider the Native Ultimate FX 13 to actually be more "canoe" than "kayak" and nothing wrong with that, by the way, I'd say this is something else other than a kayak . . . more like a skiff. It just moves too far away from what the essence of a kayak is in my book.

A nice vessel for duck hunting, I'd imagine.

If I went this route, looking for those sorts of qualities, I'd buy a Gheenoe.

The Facebook group Tennessee Valley Kayak Anglers has a video clip of the Titan. It's pricey.

It is already making they guys that fish tournaments, big water, and BTB salivate.
The propel drive will move it just fine.
It will sell like hotcakes. The FX Propel 13 has been a game changer for most of the Native dealers that I work with.

They introduced 4 new boats at OR and 1 at ICAST.

Native is in it to win it.

Check out the videos on their Facebook page.

It is amazing!

Jerry, you could be correct. I hope so since I am a Native guy, prefer the lighter weight, cycling pedals over fins, the aesthetics of a Propel over a PA.

But, at least this prototype model making the rounds? It just moves too far away from even the current broad definition of what a kayak is, I think. It almost looks like a pointed jon boat or a skiff to me.

I'll pass judgment later when I see what rolls out of the factory, how it fishes.

I would expect the price and the weight would be comparable to the Pro Angler.
Hopefully it is and I've often heard of the Pro Angler referred to as more of a small boat than a kayak, so they would have that in common and the Pro Anglers sales are up at the top.
I also would think that they've done enough testing that it won't handle like a barge just in case you had to use the paddle and no more difficult than paddling a Pro Angler.
Anyway it's great to see kayak manufacturers coming out with so many new and awesome kayaks.

Jimbo,

It is certainly aimed at the PA 14 market share I would suspect.

But, at whatever it is, 42" or 43", it will definitely make paddling, if called for, much more difficult. The seat height and required paddle angle stroke (getting over the gunwales) will ensure it is a toad in the water.

Great paddling kayaks are long and slender and the seats are low.

This is definitely a power option vessel for Native, I think, and secondarily, a pedal kayak.

I can't wait to see reports of its speed under pedal power, still thinking around 2 to 3 MPH might be the effective cruising speed.

This for sure, at least going forward in the water: in a race, a PA 14 will blow the doors off of this pedal model.

This skiff will likely be used most in conjunction with a trolling motor set-up or even a small gas engine mounted to the stern . . . though I don't see any mounting options back there yet.

I can't wait for this bad boy!! Big water fishing machine! Reports on cruising are similar to the SP13. For me I'm not to concerned about paddling. I've have owned 5 propel kayaks and rarely did I ever paddle one. But that's just me. Horizontal rod storage
MEGA stability
Can run dual power poles
Tons of storage.
It's a BASS fishing machine!!!
Oh, and I'm a little extra proud that I got to help design this TITAN !!

Native new line up has something for everyone. Hey If the Titan is not for you check out the Slayer Propel LT or Propel Manta Ray.
