Have a one acre pond that has a ton of duckweed on it. I would like to use a skimmer in lieu of chemicals. Does anyone know how to DIY build a pond skimmer?

You might try asking in the pond section!

Same problem last year. You will have mill weed mixed in as well. I made one out of an old screen insert and 1x2 boards for a frame. Very cumbersome to use but it was effective. No problem this year since I put a grass carp in last year. If I had to do it again I'd buy a pool skimmer for longer reach although it won't have the volume the other did.

I'm on other forums that deal with the old turbo powered Buicks.;)
