Heading down there for a few days in late October, can someone recommend a few fishing spots?
Looking at Google map I see Lake Houston and Galveston Island, anyone been to these places before and can direct me to the right spots?
Thanks in advance.

I mean you can catch fish off the piers on galveston. Or you can go to the texas city dyke. I have fished Houston a couple of times and have never really been impressed. There are some crappie and bass in there, but if you want a better fishery I would hit Livingston or Conroe

Boat or bank? October is prime time for galveston for bull reds, flounder, trout, Spanish macks, black drum. Etc.
Seawolf park if bank fishing for flounder. Too many places to list for galveston in Oct. YouTube for recent videos.
Ask in the salt section.

Late October is prime time for flounders and bull reds as sea pro todd mentioned. I would wade fish Seawolf park for flounder. I will warn you, it will be pack full of people fishing for flounder. I'm pretty sure there are other spots with less people to catch flounder but Seawolf is the best that I know of. Bull Reds are really good in the surf and jetties during that time as well. You can also catch Speckled trout, Spanish macks, black drums off the jetties and wading in the surf but I do not know how good they are during that time. As I have always targeted flounder during the fall. You should get one of these maps. It tells you spots and what is good there and at what time of the year. Love it. https://www.austinkayak.com/products/56/...y-With-GPS.html
