Man this lake was good to us. I really has some great people in the boat this week. I thoroughly enjoyed every day. Every fish we caught was on timber. Each day was a little different on the bait choice. But the consistent thing was a 1/8 oz pink jig head. There was a couple of days that we caught every fish on jigs. Other days they wanted a minnow tipped on it. Then we pulled the jig off completely and stuck a minnow on the hook and that worked great too. I'm gonna post a pic below of the baits I'm using. I use every color you see... This is the only tackle box on my deck. Water depth is completely irrelevant. Fish are literally everywhere. We had some giant fish this week too. It seemed like every trip we had quite a few good ones. Great people make great fishing trips and this week was full of fun. Thanks everyone who came out. I didn't take pictures of all then but here's a few from this week. I'm pretty well booked up this week but I do have both spots on Monday open and I have a half day morning available on Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon is available as well. Other than that the next week has 3 days open I know. We will definately catch some fish! Message or call me if ya want to go! Thanks everyone!

All of the baits are by Bonehead. I've had a lot of success the last two months with these. Every color in this pic below are my top colors. If you have any questions regarding bait color selection ask away. I have different colors for different situations. For the most part it's been rock solid this summer for catching most of the bigger ones.

My brother told me he was coming in for a conference and would have an afternoon open. I told him I knew a good guide that would put us on some sacalait. He booked Cody for an afternoon trip and we were not dissapointed. We filled the livewell and released some nice bass.

Cody is a super fisherman and really easy to get along with. It's nice to fish with a guide that likes to fish as much as me and has a good sense of humor.

Enjoyed the trip and will be back.

My parents and son really enjoyed the trip and catching plenty fish Friday. Also enjoyed meeting a quality guide and person.

Thanks Cody,

saw you guys coming back to the ramp Friday early afternoon. I had the 2 man out but you must have cleaned all the timber in the area already. hahahaha
we still managed a few here and there.

Timber off main lake in coves or up north? Fished Sunday w/o much luck up north. After reading all the 'catchin' posts was sure disappointed in my lack of success. I found plenty of trees with bait on them, they pecked my jig to no end...LoL.

The trees don't necessarily have to have bait on them, they just need to have some good limbs under water. The coves around Jordan park all have fish in them. I fish those a lot. I also fish up north a lot. I fished up north Saturday and Sunday because I knew Jordan park would be packed after the brush pile talk last week. I saw 3 boats Saturday and 2 boats Sunday. Was very pleasant and you could fish at your own pace without much pressure around you. Not all trees have fish on them. You gotta move very quickly!
