Check them if you smell a rotten egg smell in bilge area. Find out which one is bad and replace, before recharging. Had one blow up, blew top off and buckled my top mounting bracket. And acid everywhere, just glad didn't burn house down.

It was a die hard. But it was 5 yrs old , I'm on water at least 200 days a yr. they are good batteries. Bought three more.
