Awesome day of bass fishing on Rayburn today.....got lucky! Launched at Twin Dikes and stayed on south end, caught a 2 lb bass on first cast and thought omg that's bad luck I've heard. Forget that old tale.....shortly after that first bass I felt a tap on my worm and set into a big bass which weighed 7 lb 15 oz on digital scales. Minutes later in same spot I caught a 7 lb 4 oz and a 7 lb 2 oz and released. By noon, I had landed 12 bass with best 5 about 28.5 lbs. Had some thunder and a light shower but catching 3 bass over 7 lbs in one day is something I'll never forget.

I'll add that those big fish were on a hump in 8' near deep water in an area somebody named "Solleys".....also, 1/8 oz slip sinker with 3/0 hook and Baby Brush Hog wm/red! Be careful, submerged timber in area.
