I've had the opportunity to make a couple trips with Jim Brack, Lake Athens Guide Service this summer and man, what a great experience it has been. The first one was at the end of May for my dads birthday and we told him we wanted to learn some new techniques. He ran us through some of his favorite baits and was VERY thorough in teaching us how to fish them. On that trip alone, we ended up boating somewhere around 20 fish with the biggest being around 10lbs (caught by Jim).

I texted Jim on Friday asking how the bite was and told him I planned on making a trip today. After I told him I was coming alone, he asked if he could jump in my boat for a few hours and met me at the ramp this morning. We got on a couple big schools right around 0900 and by 1100 had boated 36 fish. Jim definitely knew what they were biting because we caught at least three times as many fish as the boats around us.

If you get the chance, give Jim a call. He has ton of knowledge, stories and is friends with darn near everyone on the lake. Can't say enough about this guy! He will have my business for as long as he's guiding. Thanks again, Jim. It's always nice to make a new friend who shares the same passion.

Thanks Justin, let's do it again soon. I wish I could have stayed a little longer.

Jim is a great guy.
Wish I had been around him near the schooling action. I could not get them to hit anything.
Earlier that morning He and Justin pulled up beside me at our favorite spot and BOOM he catches a nice one right off the bat.
Great guide for Lake Athens and a super guy.

Jim is a great guy and knows how to fish on any lake. I have fished with him on Athens many time and I always leave a happy camper. If you book a trip with Jim you will be happy you did.
