After not fishing serious for 15 plus year I'm looking to start. I have an old Diawa BW2 Baitcast that I'll be using that needs a pole. I want upgrade reel later to an Abu Garcia Orra Winch. I would like to know if anyone can recommend a pole that doesn't break the bank and will be good for my upgrade. I will be using lite tackle but some minnows from time to time and mostly looking for crappie but I'm happy catching anything right now. Will take this rig after upgrades to coast for some light stuff in the flats possibly. Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the input, I guess I start off with a new baitcast setup. Been looking at Abu Garcia Orro Winch but unsure bout a rod.

Check out Berkeley Lightning rods. I have several and for about $30 they are real hard to beat.
