Anyone have any experience with the power pole micro? I'm wondering if it will work on my Tracker 170. Obviously it has some disadvantages compared to the other power pole models but it's a third of the cost.

My brother has a Tracker 170 and has two mounted (one was a gift). The two work great in the West Texas wind.

There is a good YouTube video with a guy that has one on a 17 ft tracker. He shows it in various conditions and it seems to work well with that size boat

I had one on a PT190 and it worked great. Would have been better with two, but one did a good job even in a pretty stout wind. Heavy waves would move it, but it would try to adjust each time it moved and would grab again. Main thing that was irritating was the tall anchor pole when trying to work around low hanging limbs or under a bridge, but you can just take it out and put it back in when you are clear.
