What kind of grate do you have in the bottom of your cooler? I need to do that also..Thanks

It was a little slower today. We ended up with 37 but worked hard for them. Evening bite is much better for me.

It was a little slower today. We ended up with 37 but worked hard for them. Evening bite is much better for me. Too freakin' hot!

What kind of grate do you have in the bottom of your cooler? I need to do that also..Thanks thanks! I custom made it. Trial and error. I think it is some kind of shelving. I cut it to fit with bolt cutters. but the crappie would still slip through the grate. So I used shears or tin snips to cut some hardware cloth. Took a while to get it snug around all the edges. But it works great to keep the crappie up and out of the wet slime. I'll post some picts lata. I'll go ahead and start a new thread...

I hear ya on the milky water color, wind has been blowing but not howling lately, not sure why it hasn't cleared up more. Turning over maybe?
Nice fish, we have been putting some toads the boat as well. Pulled up to one spot Friday and caught 21 in about 15 minutes, everyone one of them was 12" or better, several over 15".
