Started very early today to beat the heat, and it was very slow for us. The water seemed very cloudy on the graph and no bites in the usual places, so we made a big move. We fished almost all new stuff. Left early also, so no big numbers today but good fish and good times!

It was a little slower today. We ended up with 37 but worked hard for them. Evening bite is much better for me.

I custom made it. Trial and error. I think it is some kind of shelving. I cut it to fit with bolt cutters. but the crappie would still slip through the grate. So I used shears or tin snips to cut some hardware cloth. Took a while to get it snug around all the edges.
But it works great to keep the crappie up and out of the wet slime.

I hear ya on the milky water color, wind has been blowing but not howling lately, not sure why it hasn't cleared up more. Turning over maybe?

Nice fish, we have been putting some toads the boat as well. Pulled up to one spot Friday and caught 21 in about 15 minutes, everyone one of them was 12" or better, several over 15".
