Plankton rising in the water column to feed. ^^^^This plus silt, it is worse after rains. Will settle as the sun rises.

A lot of the "SNOW" are baitfish and shad that will move out away from grass beds at night. Grass beds do not give off oxygen at night. The exact opposite happens. They take oxygen out of the water. So the baitfish and shad move into open areas and suspend. They do not school but drift around feeding on plankton. Watch what happens to the "snow" as the sun starts to come up. The dots will start to come together and soon become small balls of shad. Then the small balls merge into bigger ones. The baitfish will move back into the grass. Pretty interesting to watch as the night goes on.
