Trout and redfish were plentiful at the jetties on croaker fished on 1/4 oz weight in 6-12 ft of water. Had 12 trout between 20 and 24". Largest redfish was 24".

Nice trip, we are coming down 2nd week in August to fish inshore, one of our group is going to try for Tarpon with a fly rod

I've seen several tarpon jumped and one landed on a fly rod this year so your friend has a chance. Good luck on your trip.
