First time at Lavon tomorrow.

Going to try and catch the elusive largemouth early on by myself, crappie in the evening with Carey Thorn.

Looking forward to it, plan on posting my results here.

Any largemouth tips for Lavon? Good areas on the lake? I'll be launching from Collin Park and intend on exploring a bit, trying to find some good shallow rocks early on to jig around, try and find a good cove / docks to work a senko.

I'm sure Carey will put me on the crappie when we head out in the afternoon, it would be cool to land on some bass early on though.

Gonna be a fun day of exploring either way cheers

Been probably a month since I've been out there, so couldn't tell you what the bite is like. You won't find any docks outside of the three marinas. I'd start by throwing topwater around the dam or other rock first thing in the morning, and go from there. Good luck

Also crankbaits along the dam rip-rap and the railroad bridge rip-rap.

Rock piles out from the East Fork Boat Ramp, there are several along the bank in 6 fow. Just about all boat ramps are holding a few fish and the pond dam and rock pile off the east fork main lake point has fish on it. Concrete slabs by the Harbor marina has been good early.
