This is the scene at every local lake in the summertime.... Guys and gals up to their chest in the water, people running around crazy, shouting, water crashing......boats slamming into the shore, docks and other boats.....

The place I stay at in Alaska has a private boat ramp. It's only usable during high tide, because it's completely out of the water at low tide (tide change is anywhere from 8 to 20 FEET).

I fished with a friend in Oregon and they launch and loaded right on the beach like this.
But they did it a lot better. It is definite a get wet situation even when it goes well.
