Finally found big schools of striper. We have been limiting out within a couple hours. All fish have been big fish very few boxes. Haven't either been bothering with the white bass. We have a few spots that opened up this weekend.

July 30th update:
The windy morning definitely brought the striper up. Limits were caught within an hour to two hours. Did see some top water action for a brief moment but was over before a blink of an eye.

Please put the big fish back. Strippers breed in Texoma.

Nice fish...been wanting to do a striper trip...last month I almost booked one for my birth day on July 30th. Did a early crappie trip instead.it's a good thing cause the whole family came down with strep throat Friday.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Ruff n Redi: The large striped bass population is healthy on Texoma. The limit is two fish over 20 and we strictly keep to this. The fish that are missing from the lake due to the flood and poor recruitment, are the box fish stripers. We throw back any smaller fish not throat hooked to help supplement the problem. I have a very healthy respect for the Texoma fishery, as it is my livelihood. I also have a degree in wildlife and fisheries (Texas A&M) with a concentration in fisheries management. I apologize if this comes off snappy, I just have a strong belief in conservation, that is why I went to school for it. All the best and tight lines.

Troy: That is tough, my family got a taste of that situation 3 weeks ago, I know your pain. I hope y'all are feeling better!
