I went out to Aquilla for the first time yesterday. I took a couple of buddies and we just went from piling to piling just fun fishing. I ended up bringing 9 crappie home to cut and we caught several short crappie and 6-12" LMB were too many to count. They were schooling (sandies and LMB) so we played with those for a couple hours. It was a fun trip that wasn't too far and a good time was had.
Between the 3 of us, I'd say that we had 150+ fish boated. Nothing big really, but a fun time. Water was 88-91 and the wind was steady @ 10mph Sun was high, but we stayed under the bridge.

We got there at 8 and picked up 1 keeper on the 3rd and 4th piling each. These pilings have an underwater support that the fish were hanging around. The first two fish came 5' down and the rest were on the bottom later in the day.
We stayed under this bridge all day and bounced around and fished then tied up to a piling, then bounced around some more. My buddy that has been there before said that we could have done better with minnows, but we only used jigs.
