We used to catch a lot on this color at palistene and winsborrow and toledo when I was a kid
Brought back some good memories with my dad when I was painting them.
Thanks for looking
Lynn

Coach Dog and Mud Bug...very nice...reminds me of my grandpa's tackle box. He had a few of each in some long forgotten patterns. Good memories, Thanks.

A few years back I repainted several Mud Bug lures for a guy and had a heck of a time getting the paint to stick properly to the metal diving bills. Seems it wanted to chip and peel off the bill. Did you do anything special to prep the bill for acrylic paint? What are you going to clear them with?

We also used to catch them on the old yellow with black dots original bomber and the yellow and black hellbender and the coach dog you mentioned as well..
I have some new mud bugs and hellbenders on the way from my brother that I am going to paint for me and him

and as of now I am using the Devcon 30 min epoxy for my clear coat

thanks Lynn

seems like they should be finished off with a matte finish instead of something shiny.

nice! You guys are killing me, I am trying to resist getting into this. Have no idea if I would be any good at it but I already have airbrushes, compressors etc that my late wife used to paint ceramics that she made. I may have to grab some PVC and play around a bit....

a piece of pvc and some $0.50 bottles of acrylic paint from walmart is all you need. but i feel compelled to warn you....it's addicting and there is no cure! loco_2

wow those bring back some memories. that color pattern was some of my first lures. we used to climb up the trees around the lake by our place and get them out of the branches. i still have a few of those old lures.
might have to put that pattern on some stuff i'm doing now.
