I bought an aluminum boat (SeaArk) recently and am often in brackish water. Besides flushing the motor with fresh water and spraying everything down, any advice on products like CorrosionX, etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Seal up you electrical connection, especially your bilge and livewell pumps.
Anti-seize your lug nuts.
Carpet is going to get nasty quick in saltwater

Thanks for he feedback. That's an interesting rig you have. Looks like it would run in very shallow water?

Remove the carpet from the trailer bunks and install the plastic/Teflon strips. My dads boat developed holes at those points due to salt soaking in the bunks.

Pull the cowling and use corrosionx in those connections.

There is NO sure cure a rig that has been put in salt water.

Only had ours in salt a few times. Found anything that could rust and hit it with corrosion x. All electric was already sealed up. Wash thoroughly and re apply corrosion x when dry.
