My wife is not one to go fishing, but she actually joined me on the lake Saturday! For her 1st time in 20 years she didn't do too bad either! She caught 12 all by herself, and if I could have gotten her to set the steel to them, she probably would have beat me! I released 58, and had a great time. I even hooked a crappie at one point, and on the way up,Wham! A big fish had hit my crappie! I fought him for about 30 minutes before we got to see it. When he finally got to where I could see him, wow! It was a flathead in the 60lb range! After another 15 minutes of battle, I got the fish up and could see that we could try to net at this point. Wrong! First my net wouldn't fit around his head! As soon as my wife tried to get the net on his head, he surged again and cut the line! My wife said she wasn't going to touch that ugly thing anyway! She was amazed that it had my crappie in its mouth! 70 fish of any kind, any day,is a great day! I forgot to add that all fish were caught on Thermocline Lures Lil Fry, in Ice Shad! Used a 1/24 pink head!

What a great time. Maybe since you put her on some fish she won't wait another 20 years. Are you on Pines? How do you like that G-Rod?

I think she's going to wait for cooler weather though! The G-Rods are simply the best! They are the most sensitive rods I have ever used! The 7 footer had plenty of backbone to fight that big flathead! I wasn't on Pines, I was on a small county lake in Wood county. Sorry, I don't like to mention by name because of its size!

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Y'all are just the regular comedians........The net in there is ample sized for SLABS (and the occasional ditch pickle) Belinda said she'd take your couple tourney bet any day of the week Heck, I wouldn't even have to fish Good to see that you didn't front end Brandee all day
