How many hours per year on an outboard would you consider normal use?
I know several factors but didn't know if there was a general number like the 12 to 15 thousand miles on auto's?

80 a year is about normal for a Texas boat.
Now, how it was maintained, and what fluids and fuel were used will make a big difference, much more than just hours. I'd rather buy a ten year old well maintained motor with 800 hours than one that's sat for five years without being used.
