I'd check out Leona park...if the lake is only 5' high, that dock should be usable, IF that ramp is open...
Fly tier (yeah, I can fly fish...but the fish don't like frothy water!)

Not yet. The ramps and probably the courtesy docks would be ok but they are allowing the soil to dry so they will not be damaged. The 100 degree days should do the trick pretty quickly.

Lakeview ramp near the Dead Fish Grill is open, my wife and I were there yesterday, there is no courtesy dock, the shore line is very rocky. At BLORA the Army recreation camp, Carp Launch is open with a very nice courtesy dock, I think civilians can enter BLORA but there is a Ten Dollar fee. The Carp launch just opened yesterday. Tight lines to all.

Not sure why they say one thing and then do something different but fortunately they opened a lot of boat ramps. They have a public information officer now that has a propensity for getting it wrong.

There was a article in the Temple newspaper yesterday and it mentioned all the ramps are all open as well as 100% operational. I don't think that's the case with no courtesy docks.... regardless, the bright side is we can take our boats on it. I will be on the lake today and will prob try the BORLA ramp. If you see a blue Lund boat out there pulling a tube for my youngest it will be me.

Stillhouse Marina lake ramp is perfectly fine. I believe union groves dock ramp is good now too.

Went out to Belton on thursday, launched @ Leona park...got a Humminbird Helix 9SI that I'm learning how to use...one cast, got hung up on a tree in the water, snapped the line and decided to let the girls tube...crappyiest day of fishing ever...but the girls had fun...sure could use some help on where the Crappie are...got this killer FF...but not sure how to really use it/tune it...the water column has a lot of 'stuff' in it so I'm not sure if it is working right or not...anybody want to go fishing and help!
Fly tier (yeah, I can fly fish...but the fish don't like frothy water!)

What causes the yucky brown color to the water after the lake has been high for an extended period. I am guessing that it is caused by rotting vegetation but it sure takes a long time to clear up. Wonder if it affects fishing either good or bad?

Oddly enough it hasn't come up much with the 10" of rain. Kinda flat lined.
