Kayaking trip to fish the Colorado river in Bastrop Texas.. The fishing was great but the "catching" left much to be desired.. Good thing I had my Canon otherwise there wouldn't be anything but memories to bring back! wink

Fishing for Guadalupe bass and sunfish just hasn't been the same since the 2015 flood.. I'm afraid all the silt washed in from flooding has done a bit more damage to the river ecosystem than meets the eye..

Enjoyed the video. cheers You are right. I have a noticed a huge difference in the sunfish bite for the worst on the Guadalupe River as well!(After the floods). On a positive note the bite has improved over the last couple of weeks. thumb

there is a thin coating of film on everything below the water line.. gar, carp and catfish can live with it but I suspect sunfish and bass have trouble..

Awesome video.

These floods that we got in April/May eroded most of the local bayous that I fish at.
Since the bayous are wider now, they made the water more shallow.
So I have to sneak alongside the banks when searching for bass.
