I'll be in the Arlington area in three weeks to watch some Rangers baseball with my dad. He's flying in from Colorado so I'd like to take him to a good BBQ joint while we're there. Don't mind a bit of driving if the place is worth it. Any recommendations?

Railhead or woody Creek in fort Worth. David's in Arlington is pretty good too.

Unless you want beef ribs, they're pretty good and it's one of the few places serving them.

Pecan Lodge is some of the best that I've had in DFW.

BBQ on the Brazos in Cresson.

Off The Bone on Mansfield Hwy.

Cousin's BBQ is usually pretty good.

Cooper's in the Stockyards is great for chicken & pork chops but I don't care much for their open pit style brisket or ribs.

I've heard good things about Billy's Oak Acres but I must have hit them on an off day as their BBQ was pretty average the day I ate there.

Thanks for all the options! I'm taking 281 up from Austin and will stop at Hard Eight BBQ in Stephenville as well. I've been there once and really liked it.

Sounds like Jambo or David's are my best options in Arlington. Pecan Lodge if I want to venture downtown.

Ate at the Jambos off of Little Rd. Awesome!

Brisket was so-so, but pulled pork was great. Creamed corn and pinto beans were excellent. Apple cobbler was pretty amazing as well.

Thanks for the recommendation.
