This is surely a sad time for all of us, a tremendous loss in the fishing community, a heart breaking loss of the family patriarch, a great loss of a truly kind & loving advocate for Jesus Christ.
Steve was the most considerate, caring, and fun to be around fisherman that I have had the pleasure of fishing with. He never made a negative comment about anyone and always found something good say. He greeted everyone with a smile and his positive attitude was contagious. If you were having a bad day just talk with Steve and everything would some how get better. He called me his little buddy and I can still see him doing his knee dance when one of us caught a good fish during a Bass Tournament. We did a lot of Carolina rigging and he would use a 7' leader that's right! a seven foot leader if was so long I deemed it a full McCain! Mostly I fished with a half McCain. I could go on and on about stories where Steve helped others & the fun times we had fishing but my heart is heavy. This just reminds me of Steve's out look that every person in this world has their own cares & worries, if we would just realize that everyone of us is important before we spoke or made a decision that this world would be a better place. Steve's actions and consideration of others spoke this loud and clear. I love you brother and it will be an awesome day when I see you again in heaven.
