Going to Destin, Florida in late June, and yes with the rest of the crowds, LOL.
Looking for some fishing suggestions in the Bay or Marsh or shorelines, etc. Maybe night fishing. I have done the deep sea charters and had good luck for Kingfish, Snapper, others just looking to do something different this time. Maybe even some nearby inshore bass fishing in DS/FtWalton/Niceville area.
Thanks for any help in advance.

I went out on the Twilight about 7 years ago, an 8 hour trip while in Destin. 6 of use. We asked the captain about Amberjack. He said we can try. Limit on AJ's, one per person, Red Snapper , A wahoo, some vermillion/Lane/Mangrove (I think) snapper. Fun trip, lots of filets to bring back to the condo!...however....long time ago...
Enjoy!

Hit the beach at daylight and throw a topwater or spoon. End of the jetties can be be good early. Spoon or gotcha lure. Hit the pier for Spanish and King Mackeral. Between Destin and Fort Walton several access point to wade the bay. Have fun it's a beautiful place.
Razzorduck Better tighten that drag boy, He's gonna spool ya!

A little late on the results but it was a great time in Destin as usual. Fished the beach a few morning but a little too much seaweed except for one day. The one clear day we used topwaters to catch some fun fighting ladyfish and other small fish on light tackle.
Later in the week, 9 of the family took a short 4 hour charter and hit the jackpot. Fished on the Vengance charter out of the harbor and just short ride out we were on the King Mackerel and Jack Crevell. Some big Kings caught by all, kid, girls, guys from 10 years to 60 yrs old in the group. I would really recommend a charter from these guys, Capt Jason and Hunter on the Vengance Boat. Until next year good luck to all that head to the Florida panhandle.

Until next year good luck to all that head to the Florida panhandle. We were staying on Navarre Beach the same week you were in Destin. The seaweed/June grass was real bad the first day we were there (June 26) but after that it was not too bad. We caught a bunch of ladyfish and the occasional bluefish from the surf each morning, and each night we caught scores of hardheads and a few sharks using cut bait. The highlight of the trip was a guided offshore kayak trip we took mid-week. Between my brother and myself we ended up with three kingfish and two red snapper, including one that went 31 inches and weighed 15 pounds. Here is a report from my trip, which was a blast! http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...m_#Post11715998
