A friend loaded up on Stripper yesterday , they were all on top water baits west of the island . He said that thats all I could tell any one.

Ha, no way...we were out there trolling and throwing some top waters on the east side and didn't get a bump. Plenty other people seemed to be having the same experience over near Lofers as well. Go figure...hopefully they're still over that way next weekend!

Was out there for a week, all fish caught by island by dam, tough week, Gail force winds, tons of bait everywhere with very few bites. I don't know the lake well enough but they seemed to want something moving like tail hummers, cranks. Needless to say glad to be back home to PK.

We fished three days this week and caught 1 keeper striper. very few small stripers on live bait. We did manage some sandies on the top each day but it was very short lived and then they were gone. LOTS of tiny shad in their guts. Bait sized shad were very hard to find.

Caught my new personal best on Friday, caught 4 with the biggest being in the 10 lb. range. I am still trying to learn the lake since I bought a house down there. Only been on the lake 4 or 5 times so far, so I need plenty of advice.


Personal best :
Freshwater Red - 26.11lb.
Striper - 15lb.
Black- 7lb.

He was using some of those new Wopper Topper baits. He had a real big one take a new just out of the package $25 one on the first cast. I have pictures but having trouble get them on the Forum from my phone.
