Dad and I got on the water and headed to the dam. Figured we'd find some schooling fish. Well we did. I was catching them on topwater while my pops was kicking my butt with the A-rig. In 25 min we caught 2 limits of unders. It did help that he caught 3 on one cast. lol. After the sun went down we hit 5 spots and caught fish on each spot. We did almost all our damage with baby rattle snakes rigged on a drop shot. Our first stop was a boat house with an under water light. You can see the fish easily. We caught several good unders on drop shot. Then we both put a big feather tailed 1/2oz jig on. We literally sat right on top of the light and vertically jigged. We caught several huuuge sandbass, mixed with a few unders and slot fish. Then went to the far left side of the dam and in a 30yrd stretch caught 6 more on drop shots. Went back to the light house about midnight and the bigger fish had moved in. Caught 2 overs on same jig and some more sandbass. About 1am we were getting tired so we went to the bridge by the ramp. We caught 3 slot and 2 more unders off the bridge on drop shot. It was good to be back on the water.

Well,,,,,that boat house/light will be covered up come Saturday night @ the Poorman's Athens Open.
Fish have been schooling all over the lake real early and real late.
Going to need 2 good overs to win this tournament.
I'm putting my boat in at 5:30am and going back home to bed for the day.
Don't want to mess with the evening pleasure boat crowd getting their boats and jet skis out of the water.

I tried calling you last night Nutman to see if you were going to be on the water. Guess you were napping.. lol
