 How much outboard 'shaking' is normal when running in a chop?

I have a relatively new to me boat (2011 with a 250 SHO) and when running in a bit of a chop at WOT, the motor appears to jump around a little bit (this has nothing to do with normal shaking at idle that the old carb motors are known for)
When out of the water, I can lift the motor up and down by the skeg by maybe half an inch, and side to side by maybe half an inch. Could my bushings be wearing out already on my trim tube or motor mount? Only has about 500 hours on motor.

Should not move any!!! Check mounting bolts thru transom. Check TRANSOM. No movement at all should be seen.

500 hours, probably bushings, but 1st check tilt/trim and steering fluid levels. If either low, look for leaks as they are closed systems. If either leaking, they will suck air into system when operated resulting in play/vibration. If equipped with hyd. jack plate, check it's fluid too.
