Hey Fellas,

Finally gonna get some fishing time with my Brother this Weekend.. It's been a rough go for him lately, he's an Irving police officer, so recent events have obviously had an impact on him..

We both agree that some " bass meditation" is needed..

I've got a few ideas, but in y'alls esteemed opinion, What would be the best lake within 1.5 hrs of DFW that would offer up some decent "fun" bass fishing..

We know Fork, Bonham, Ray Roberts, all the old standbys..

Just maybe looking for something a little different..

Thanks!!

If you really want some meditation time contact Shane Davies' River Run Guide Service and see if he has an opening.

Athens is fishing good now. If you hit it right, schooling fish in the 2-5 pound range. A friend caught 52 in 4 hours there last Sunday on white Flukes.

+1 on Shane. He took me on the Brazos behind Lake Whitney and I got a 6lb bass.
