Anyone have one of the balzout mounts on an fx console? I was thinking of ordering one. I don't like my graph to be sitting crooked so was wondering how to make them square up on that slanted console. Anyone done this? Pics please..... And thanks

I had the same question with really no response. I bought one for my 2011 zx 190. I went ahead and bought it, I love it. I had to find a spot on the console that was flush enough to mount the base. Then when I found my level spot for my base I had my dad hold it to where I thought it was level. We marked the holes and drilled. It all ended up great and it's a sturdy mount. Only downside is this is the only position that's it is level.

I can get pics from my boat too when I pull it out to fish on Friday evening. The point is, it isn't really flush/square for me either. But, it is up to you if the slight angle you see in Trait's pictures work. It is mounted to the base on sloped side.

I talked to Balzout today and they make a pivot knuckle mount for the crazy sloped consoles...... A little expensive but I think k those mounts are going to be bad [censored].

I have the BallZout mount at the bow and it is awesome. A bit pricey but worth it.

I have the BallZout mount at the bow and it is awesome. A bit pricey but worth it.
bart For those with the ballzout mounts and other mounts like these on the bow. Do y'all lay them down in rough water? That's the reason I believe the ram is favored so on the bow. I've seen plenty of the Lowrwnce gimble mounts bent from running big waves hard.
