Who watched live today? What did you think of the format?

I watched enough to see how much it seemed copied from MLF. I also noticed the disadvantage of it being live. I don't have the ability to watch it at my convenience like I can MLF.

Interestingly, I almost made a post after watching the Toledo Bend recap show. After watching so much of it the day it happened and how much live coverage we now have, the shows leave me feeling a bit unimpressed. I have always enjoyed watching them but now I see how much they barely scratch the surface of the coverage.

I know those ideas seem contradictory but it comes down to time. Over a 4 day event I can watch the live feed or the blog as my schedule allows. With this it seems like if you miss it, you're done. I don't see any video recaps on the site.

K.D., they usually post their bassmaster live footage sometime after the tournaments on their website.

I thought the format was alright. Nothing beats the regular tournament though.

I watched the pairings this afternoon. IT weemed BORING, until the end and Hite started catching fish. Then everyone else seemed to catch one in the last few minutes of the day. Stil, no something I recommend watching because unless the fish are biting, it is VERY SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT is S - L - O = W. They talk to their marshals and everything, but do not share a lot of tips or anything, unless they start catching fish. SO, not something that I would watch again, I do not think, but I might try tomorrow and see what KVD does, to see if it is more exciting then. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

It's not bad, not the greatest river/lake for the format, the current was rippin'. If it was at Cayuga or another hot northern fishery it would have been better. These guys are impressive to put together a pattern and limit in a few hours with not much practice. You can really see the difference in preferred style and skill level. KVD and Benton were doing the same thing for the most part but Benton only caught 1

Hot Dog eating contests are way more entertaining. Fishing is a terrible TV sport/activity/whatever you choose to call it.

format=ok , location=bad , you may call me not a "real fan" but watching them catch 1 pound dinks (and not even a lot) drop shooting makes for very boring TV imo. Maybe if it was on a different lake that required different fishing styles would be better. I watch all the live tournaments. I watched some yesterday and almost none today...just boring if you ask me.

Sure was exciting seeing Rojas catch those two at the end to win his match.

If you are on the WatchESPN page http://espn.go.com/watchespn/ you can set the 'Sports and Shows' dropdown to 'Fishing' and then click on the 'Replay' tab. I found the link to yesterdays at http://espn.go.com/watchespn/player/_/id/2843840/

This current bracket is brutal. One of the match-ups is KvD destroying Benton, and in the other one J-Pow literally isn't fishing and Kreiger is still unable to bass him.

Brutal to watch Kreiger struggle. He might drive off the falls if he fails to boat one and pass J-Pow...
