Have a 115 Optimax that has been into the shop 4 times for repair...Powerhead was replaced, they said they installed new plugs, fuel line, injectors, fuel filter(ff was the old one, never replaced, plugs look old etc...) Still barely runs with less that 2 hrs on rebuild. Need to find a trustworthy Mercury mechanic. Any recommendations?

Just a suggestion but, the marine mechanic in my signature (Cal Burch) is a well known great mechanic on anything marine, especially engine overhaul and repair. Give him a call....worth the time for phone call.. God Bless us all Lee

Vip-per boats in Grand Prairie works on my Mercury 115. Does good work, prices are very reasonable and no long waits in line for service.

If you don't mind a little road trip then my suggestion is to take it to Larry's Marine in Wichita Falls. A lot of Rodney Brown's customers come out of the DFW area. He knows his stuff!!!
