Back when Jeff Kirkwood was guiding he showed me that rig. Caught a decent number of bass on it but most were small, so I put it away for years (although used it a little earlier this year and caught a few - although small ones). I'm sure if I used it enough some bigger ones would come. Cool video Pierre!

Can also take any color small crappie jig head and bend the hook out and use it on one end of the worm... Then put a tail spinner on the other end for flash... and hook it with a weedless hook that has a weed guard through the side of worm as you showed.. Killer along grass edges and open pockets of grass mats...

been fishing a trick worm like that since the early 90's, didn't know it was called a chicken rig. I had a non-boater show me that rig at a tournament in MO, he was originally from Cali. He also showed me what we now call a mojo rig and a dropshot. He fished them all on a Zebco 33 and 8lb line and put on a casting clinic that day i've never forgotten. He could cast those 33's about anywhere I could pitch.
