Hey guys I'm looking to buy a used motor for my boat. I found one that I like but it's tiller controlled. How hard or easy is it to convert to remote?

Pretty pricey endeavor.

Really? Is it not just a kit you buy to replace the tiller?

The thing is, it's not just the steering. You have to covert the throttle control and all of the ignition as well. There are kits for the steering and others for the throttle/ignition...but they aren't cheap. And I think the throttle cable has to be purchased separate.

Google is your friend! https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=convert+tiller+motor+to+steering+wheel

When in doubt, set the hook.
