This is just a shot in the dark, but I figure why not try.

I was on Lake Lewisville this past Sunday fishing a really small club tournament. Me and my partner beached the boat on Tower Bay ramp (which was very very busy) to do our weigh in at 11am. On our way back across the lake I had realized that my tackle bag was gone.

It's a small sized blue H20 tackle bag packed to the brim. It must have weighed about 30lb and was sitting on the back deck of the boat. I figure I have lost about 600$ worth of tackle, scales, fishing line, tools, fishing license.

Hoping that if someone may have picked it up somewhere by mistake and read this forum. If not, no big deal. I will deal with it. I just thought there is no harm in putting this out there... and warn people to be careful with their belongings no matter where you are.

thanks,
Dan

Dang that really sucks, do you think it came out in the lake somewhere? I launch there usually, and I'll keep an eye out. I've donated my fair share to Lewisville.

You know, there is a small chance that may have happened because I discovered it after we drove off. But I have a hard time believing that at 38mph a 20-30lb bag would budge. The ride was smooth too. In any case, I am not writing it off.

I had just bought a bunch of new deep cranks and jerkbaits. That and the terminal tackle alone adds up really fast. I am now scouring the classifieds for replacement gear. I think i lost about 85% of all the tackle I have in that bag. And I had it all figured out so well.

Still alive, it could be much worse.

I appreciate the extra set of eyes. Highly doubt anything comes out of this, but raising a little awareness for others so it doesn't happen to them.

Thanks

Dang, whether someone stole it or it flew out driving back sucks (although I would have rather had it blow out than stolen). Bad deal, I've got stuff in my bags that are irreplaceable.

Been there...done that. Back of boat tackle bags while flying down the lake full speed is no good... Lost mine on Sandlin. Sucked but made me fish what I still had left and became a better fisherman for it. Still sucks to lose all that stuff though. Good luck and hope you get it back.

Hopefully someone will speak up if they saw something. It would make me sick to lose all of that tackle man. You seem to be handling it better than I would.

Sorry about losing most of your tackle, you seem to be handling a lot better than I would. Go ahead and PM me your address and tell me some tackle you want and I'll send it over.

Brad and DTX Angler.
Man, you guys are so awesome... but I can not accept.

I don't feel right accepting free stuff from others who have paid for it because as much as this hurt$, just because I'm out some money doesn't mean you should be too!

If you want to give me a better deal than what you would normally sell/want them for... then let's talk!

I also got a pm from Curtbass pointing out a good deal on a tackle bag someone was selling.

All of you are amazingly caring people, even if it is for strangers. This is one of the reasons this Canadian has chosen to stay here in Texas. Y'all should be proud of yourselves.

ok, no more lovey dubby stuff. PM me if you guys want to make me a deal of sorts.

Thanks,
Dan

They disabled my PMs last year because I was 17 and they haven't changed it. Is there any other way I can get in contact with you? I don't feel comfortable putting my phone # on here.
