Other than sweating my [censored] off...fishing has been REALLY good. I have been averaging 18-20 bass per day. On several different lakes

All lakes are fishing super shallow. No c rigs, drop shots, or deep cranks needed. Just flipping cover all day.

I share your frustration Jhall, fished for 6 hours today at Joe Pool and caught two small ones. I've been sticking to the deeper waters so I'll have to give Steez's advice a try. How deep is most of the cover that your flipping? Are you mainly just sticking to jigs?

The wife and fished past 3 weekends. 2 on Rayburn and 1 on Livingston. Rayburn was slow and steady. Bushes and grass in 1-8 foot of water and Livingston we were kicked up the bottom with excellent results.

6inches to two feet max. I have been flipping Biffle bugs at tree stumps and washed out beach. Literally inches deep. The surface temp has been 83-85 degrees. Perfect for bass.

Don't let the "gotta fish deep in July" dudes fool ya. The lakes are fishing shallow shallow shallow right now. Record rains and coolish temps have the bass VERY shallow.

Either fish really shallow or as deep as the thermocline allows you to fish

My brother and i fished Paulo Gaucho last Saturday morning we did really good shallow. My bro caught his personal best 7 pd 4oz in about 8" of water! I was shocked, i will add it was overcast so that may have helped moved them shallow.

Doug 'CAN' find 'em. Takes some searching and knowledge of the water your fishing.
Have to agree...
