First time on Lady Bird Lake this morning. We put in about 7 at festival beach ramp. Spent about an hour on the buzzbait bite with no luck, switched up to a spinnerbait and caught a small one near i35 on the south shore. At about 9 we went into that little cut just east of festival boat ramp and that's when the fun began. Caught two 3's, three 2's, and a few smaller bass on the trusty shaky head with watermelon trick worm dipped in spike it. I had good luck just casting to the vegetation and slowly working it back to the boat, I was in the center and getting hit on both banks. Tried fishing inside that other area and down the center of the cut, but no luck. Had another 2 fish on the way back to the ramp. We were off the water by noon but it was a great morning of fishing overall, really enjoyed that lake.

UT is back in session so the sightseeing while fishing will improve dramatically.
