Not a crappie jig I know, but at least it is a fishable lure lol. Just got back in town and had a big batch of jigs curing, and thought I'd try a popper like my papaw thought us how to use while I had some down time. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

The hook is from a trot line set so I'm not sure how well it's gonna hook up, but we'll see!

How cool is that ?!! Have you checked out how it floats? Honestly, that is another one for your trophy art case.
Great job!

Thanks brother! Not yet I haven't. It should float right. The bottom is completely flat (shaved with a razor blade) and real close to the hook so the hair is super tight right there which means water can't get past. I'll get a pic of the bottom tomorrow

No reason that jig would not crappie fish Just bring the front down to a 1/16 jig head and turn it over to run up-side down. I like the color.

Here ya go. Pushed it down, dropped it upside down, always pops up right side up thumb

Yeah I like the colors, I'll make some more stacked hair crappie jigs for sure, and this color will be in the line up. This one is a little over 3 1/2" long on a big ol hook and it would take quite a bit of weight to sink it, it pops up pretty quick
