Anyone know where to buy the older model shimano reels? I have always used them growing up and would like to buy a couple or know some information on where to I can get ahold of them. They are the green ones with the black handle.

Right handed are CU-200B. Left handed is CU-201B. They released a B5 that was 5.1:1 ratio and a B38 that was 3.8:1 ratio. They also had an SF Version that was super free mode.
Smaller size was the Cu-100B (101B) series and all were super-free.
As mentioned, you can search eBay or anywhere online for these models. There is one currently on this swap/sale board that is a lefty.

*older model I say old but I've grown up using them on Lake Fork with my Uncle Tom Evans. He's been a guide out there for a long time and I'm pretty sure he gets parts replaced too. Just wanting to add a few more to my collection Bruce. I'll check ebay Delvec

It's definitely a great reel. I had 7 or 8 of them at one time and kinda wished I would have never got rid of them.

I still have 10 of them, purchased from different fishermen and I purchased 10 of the original, mostly B5 and a couple of SF. GREAT REELS still today. E-bay is a good place to look and so is the Trading Section here. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Green Curados with a ceramic spool bearing and drag washer upgrade and a little polishing are as good of a reel as you can have.

EBay and chk with southwestern parts in Dallas and keep an eye open here in the classifieds. Personally the 100b with upgraded abec 7 bearings (same as the ones in the core) and upgraded drag is the only way to roll.
Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

I've got 5 of them as well as the old gold SF Chronarchs, these are great and very durable reels.

You are talking about the B series reels that were great reels. Check ebay and do a post on Bass Boat Central....WTB (want to buy) and list exactly what you are looking for.
Now I feel the E series Shimano made were equally as good but they are a lower profile reel, same color green. To me they are more comfortable to fish with than the B series. Both are bullet proof.

I have and still use the old Shimano 10XSG series reels from the mid 70's. Still do a good job and I use them almost every day here at Fork. I do have 10 or 12 stashed away if you would like to try one. Or just call me and we can go fishing...I do not need much of an excuse!
