Hubbard has not been kind to me this year. I have had years when the hybrids were just not there but this year is worst I have seen. Today's tally 1 Sandie, 3 crappie, 1 blue, 1 channel, and a bunch of drum. Fished south, red barn, levies and peanut. Thinking about an evening trip to break the pattern.

Lewisville is coming out of a two year funk so I understand what you're talking about. You guys have had it good over there for a few years now. It's cyclical.
You are not a good or nice person.

Fishing still good. But you have to be lucky or at the right spots. In the past 8 days, they schooled early at day light. Look for boat shows cuz birds are on vacation lol. The late afternoon reports are better. What concerns me more is the legal hybrids seem to disappear. The state stockings and hard effort rhsa supplement stockings twice the past 3 years and very little adult hibbie catchings from the reports....

I have been fishing Hubbard for 30+ years and have seen it go through up and down cycles particularly when it comes to hybrids. Wind has been part of the problem this year. It has kept me on the south end most of the time. Saturday morning was too calm until about 9 or 10 then it cranked up to 20

The white bass fishing as been really good this year , today was tough with the moon and being July .. I've had a couple tough days but a lot of excellent ones .. Now .. The hybrids .. They have been non existent for me in the spots I normally catch them this year .. Even the spring shallow water bite didn't happen .. I usually downrigg in late July thru September.. I've don't it once with no luck .. The main problem is I am not marking hybrids where I usually catch them this time of year .. I can't remember fishing Hubbard where it has stayed so full .. Not complaining .. Rather have it full than 12 ft low ..

I'd rather have it 12 ft low than full, the past drought years were some of the best fishing on hubbard

I am glad we gave a forum for sharing good infos from different angles, anglers and perspective What boat are you in, stump jumper? I fished with filetmaker Pat early Saturday on Pat's white blue seafox with a TTop. Early morning schools were easy catching but it was tough after that. And the storm chased us in early. We did catch about 7 short hybrids, 15 inchers.
