I recently bought one, afterwards I read they are mainly a sight bait. My question is when would be the time to use this lure?

You'll get a better response in the bass section.

We always did well on clear jerkbaits in the summer. Even on lakes like Palestine that have the tanic color water they worked all summer so long as the water wasn't muddied from rain. The clearer the water the better in my opinion. Clear topwater baits work great too.

ok I'll have to throw it out there and see what the bass think, wasn't sure how well it would work in texas since it's a sight based lure and the water clarity is usually stained at best
