both would if you could get them deep enough you need something get them to deeper than they are designed to run

Both will work for trolling shallow. 6 ft. to 8 ft. deep.

For deeper, try tying them to a barrel sinker, swivel, leader type rig. Sort of carolina style.
A 3/4 oz. weight should get them deep enough.
