They decided they wanted to go fishing after being disappointed at their ability to catch trout in a crystal clear lake in Colorado. I promised them I would take them and all but guaranteed they would catch a fish. They kept telling me they were jinxed and bad luck etc... I took them to a local park with a pond in Denton and rigged them up with bobbers and red wigglers. Let me tell you those kids were some perch jerkin sons of their mothers and we laughed and joked and caught perch until the sun went down. Anyway I think they probably caught 50 or so between three of them two of them catching their first fish ever, nothing real big but they did not care. I basically watched, laughed, and helped with bait and hook removal when I needed to and it was a blast!! I am so grateful I took them and the smiles on their faces were awesome. Anyway, just a plug, if you want to have a great time, take a kid fishing!!

Great job Fishing was the favorite thing to do when we took our troop on summer camp in New Mexico
