We're on our way at the end of the week. Our favorites are Beach & Station Street(great Gumbo & Stuffed Flounder),Moby Dick's(all around good seafood), Oceans of Seafood(outstanding for lunch), Taqueria San Juan(wonderful breakfasts). Have a ball!

The Crab-N in Rockport is good. If you bring them your catch they will cook it. At least they did for us.

Shells Pasta & Seafood has really good, fresh seafood and pasta dishes.
Beach and Station Street Grill - consistently good seafood
Island Cafe and Smokehouse - good for breakfast
Snoopy's Pier under the JFK Causeway is a bit of a drive but worth the time - great for fried seafood
Andy's Country Kitchen in Corpus has excellent homestyle breakfast and lunch.

X2 on Snoopy's and Andy's, most of the Port A restaurants are way over rated by tourist, live there for a while and you will find yourself going some where else.

The very best fried seafood I've ever had came from a place about an hour south. It was the Kings Inn at Rivera. Been in business for a very long time. Everything I've had there was wonderful but the tartar sauce is legendary.

Ditto on Kings Inn. When I lived in Kingsville in the early 70's, it was the "go to" place for seafood. Last time I ate there was 15 years ago, but it was still good. Out in the middle of nowhere, but cook good food, and people will show up no matter where it is.
