Use a spotlight and don't run where you are unfamiliar

Fish the same places you would during the day. If you see fish off to the side of a hump during the day they will likely feed at night on that same place. Try finding a good point and fish way up on it in the shallows and work out or the other way. They will be there somewhere.

Drag a big worm, fb jig with big trailer, black spinnerbait and if the think your going slow, then you need to slow down. I have no.experience night fishing down there that is just my experience night fishing a bunch of North Texas lakes.

Good advice and don't forget the Carolina Rigs as the night starts to get lite by the moon.

You might want to think about using a black light as well, helps a lot to detect the real light pick-ups at night,Dont forget the bug spray, nats and mosquitos are bad this year unless the wind is blowing hard.

well i went last sat eve ---wind was lot worse than i had hoped so i moved in shallow and caught a few
i got one good one punching the hay grass .
about 930 i decided to go back out to my deep spots and no the wind had not laid down in any manner
fished till 1030 in the whitecaps -- thats some tough fishing !------it sucked

not gonna give up on this plan --next time i hope the wind forecast is more accurate!

oh well --sometimes it catching and sometimes its just fishing !

But please do not point it directly at an oncoming boat. It makes it impossible for the other boater to determine your direction and defeats your green/red navigation lights. I had this happen to me recently on Rayburn.

Try the Boat Docks at Shirley Creek and Powell Park or Twin Dikes. There is usually plenty of light and it makes it easier to fish. There can be some big fish around them.

Mud Creek. Stay in there all night.
