Spent a couple days at Lake X (lol) this week. Didn't catch lots of fish but did catch quality fish. The crappie were biting really soft...had to keep a constant watch on your line....if you hooked up you could rest assured it was a good one. Chartreuse hand tie was my best bet for a bite in about 10ft. of water. Thermocline is at the 13ft. line. Tried them one night under lights but could never get a shad ball under the light so I never got a decent bite. Just FYI, the Murval marina has a good breakfast too. (whoops, just gave away lake x).
To whom much is given, much is required.
